Toasty, I think your rear suspension mods are awesome. Can you post a pic of where the link bar attaches to the frame? You just make the bar out of seamless tube and hiem joint each end?

Thanks <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Yes it's just seamless tubing with two heim joints.
I'll post a pic once its welded on, I lost the jamb nut for one side and need to cut the tube shorter.

Johnny, lets do it man start posting up dates that are good and we'll circle the wagons and head over for a wrenching fest and get that pig on the road. I'll bring a welder and put the sliders on too.

I am off on Saturday and Sunday this coming weekend. Come to think of it, I am off Tuesday and Thursday of this week as well.

Did I mention I have a new renter? She's a chef. Thinks she can make hot wings...HA! We'll see.

Whats up with the truck? Last I knew I was waiting for the camping to be over so I could get the tow rig and take it away from your place.

Oh, and on a side note. Yesterday on my way to work I crashed my Montero, sucks, I just got it on 35s and painted all nice looking. I was going about 45, lost the drivers tire, landed in some yard, drivers side is all torn up, front end is all wasted. Sucks. Truck is at work, I am going to put it on the lift today and check it out all the way, I was too pissed to look yesterday. Crashed at 81st and Broadway.

you lost a tire doing 45? how did that happen? well if you decide to scrap it let me know i'm in need of another gen 2.
Since your montero has the 3.0 and AW2 it sits lower, didn't that thing rub like crazy?

Really though if its undrivable or would cost more to fix than it's worth I've got room for one more.

Im not going to give it up that easy, I am going to fix it maybe, after I see the damage better. The tires didn't rub bad at all, I went and wheeled bull dog canyon with some yota guys on Sunday, only time the tires rubbed was when I jumped it on accident.

During the wheel coming off though the wheel well and body landed on the turning tire and cause damage. Rotor, lower a-arm, ball joint...that kind of stuff is shot! The body damage is repairable. The tire also has some custom grooving now after the crash. It is believed that someone tried to steal my wheels and tires in he night and I didn't notice till it came off suddenly. There were no signs of anything being wrong as I was driving down the road, no noise or anything.
