Freakin' A, I am grounded, for now. I decided to do some maintenance on my Scion before it gets called back into duty as an everyday driver (I was driving about 30K miles per year and can expect the same when I go back to work). I did the basic oil change and tire rotation, then thought it was time to change the transmission fluid & filter, plus change out the coolant and put in new engine/transmission mounts, as the original ones were shot about 50K miles ago. After conditioning my hair with transmission fluid as I dropped the pan, I quickly realized that the NAPA kit I had purchased was all wrong for the auto tranny...wrong filter, wrong gasket. So I went to the dealer and had to order the parts...not in stock, and I'm not putting it back together with the old stuff. So, I'm sitting here with my car on ramps, no tranny fluid in, pan off, coolant out. It'll go back together quickly once I have the right stuff, but until then...

Has anyone ever used 'Water Wetter?' I bought a bottle to add in with my long-life coolant and distilled water to go back in the system once I button it back up. I've heard good things about it in the past, but just wanted to hear more from someone here in the desert.

In the meantime: Cheers. And good work, Toasty and ClayTK.
