The trail indeed does have some sections and obstacles that would interest everyone in the AZ Crew, and then some. If you are not used to doing a trail with obstacles, do not go alone. There was a lot of traffic at first, but it thinned out later, particularly after the 'picnic area', so we had a pretty clean run as far as "others." You do need to be aware that it is a popular trail, though, and expect to have fast runners like dirt bikes, quads and side-by-sides coming from either direction.

My compliments to WrenchWench, both for driving and in spotting for me. Not a scratch was had on either vehicle that means anything. And that's saying a lot for the Wench's being able to drive this trail on stock BFG Long Trails in a stock Chevy Blazer, circa early 2000's. I couldn't have done it. I even went ahead and lit up the locker for a few sections. I'm that bad at it, and way out of practice, but this SR is very confidence inspiring.

Next?

Body Damage is Cool
Just curious, was it windy as all get out , out there today?

It's been really unusually <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> windy here, in fact I normally don't suffer from allergies, but today, it's been a challenge.

JB, the old girl still has alot of trails to run, and I'm glad it's working well for you. I "may" be picking up an '04 "soon..." we'll see how it goes. Anyhow, I'll be looking forward to getting out a little when the time comes.

Where's the picks jbfp? Glad you guys had a good run out there, now that the az crew seems to be getting back on our feet, we'll have to get a big run going with everyone. Maybe sometime after Pat and John get back from Utah.

'Tis a poor musician who blames his instrument,' Clay. The Wench made it work with "small" tires.

Paul, the body lift was a really good idea for the Crown King run. I would've added a lot more character to the rockers if I hadn't put it in. It wasn't very windy on Saturday, but any cross wind at all makes this truck kind of a handful to drive on the freeway. I took it on my 500 mile trip Wednesday - Friday and was battling the winds the whole way. Keeps you on your toes.

Just a thought, we don't necessarily need LordTrunks to do a run next weekend...
