I'm thinking of heading east this weekend, if there's any interest in doing the Telegraph Canyon trail out of Superior. The trail runs west and south from there and eventually joins up with the trail coming out of Box Canyon. From there, trails take you back to the road between Florence (to the south) and Florence Junction (to the north). As long as shells aren't falling on the Army's shooting range, in which case it's best to keep going north until you hit the U.S. 60.
If anyone wants to go, and keep in mind it may rain Saturday, make suggestions as to where and when to meet up. I'd prefer Saturday, myself.

Why not? I'll even remember to bring some trash bags. I forgot last weekend but could have used them on the Crown King trail. There was a fair amount of trash.
What kind of shape is your ride in, Clay? I didn't really take a good look at it, sorry.

His truck seems to be running like a champ, minus the blue smoke, but what v6 Montero doesn't have that? Anyway, he should change that timing belt here soon, I'm not sure when the last time it was changed, and when I first got the truck lee told me that should be one of the first things done, just a suggestion though. I'm sure it would be perfectly fine for a good run, monteros like trails, they run a lot better after a run to the desert.

So, what's going on with Saturday? Tell Tay I'll be nice. Clay, why isn't someone helping you replace the valve guide seals on that truck and get the timing belt/water pump/idler and tensioner pulley/all belts on front/fan clutch replaced? (I think I just mentioned SEVERAL hundred dollars in parts, there). You don't even have to pull the heads to replace valve guide seals when using the 'rope trick.'
And Pa Jero, WTF? Why don't you have something ready to roll? What's holding you up?
Is anyone looking/listening for the half shafts that Motero needs?
I have half a mind to scrap Saturday and keep that gas in the tank...ya chickens...and it's even going to be raining. This means mud, and I always have my mud-radar on! Ask WrenchWench. If she didn't see me aiming for the ruts/puddles and gunning it through the water crossings, proper attention wasn't being paid.

John B. That was some darn fine driving you did John, and I think I might have seen just one, maybe two little gestures toward what little streams and puddles were out there. I'd be all over this weekend but have prior engagements.. such is life.

I was in admiration of your driving skills, WW. Anybody can push a locked truck on 33's through rocks (almost anybody), but it takes some skill in piloting to get one of your set-ups through, especially with the sub-par spotting I was able to give.
Not a scratch on that Blazer, for those keeping score at home.
Next time, Wrench.

OK, I'm hoping the title to the new truck will arrive tomorrow, and the owner can pass it along to me. Keep your fingers crossed, by Saturday I might be in my new (to me) Gen 3 Montero. Then, maybe I can join in on the fun once again!!

Let the mods begin.
Change your signature, Monte3. The SR's mine now. Time to let go.

I have some sensor problems, Im sure it lies with the TPS and Idle Speed Motor. Not really a big deal. The valve stem guides is a huge project I want to get done ASAP but I have been pre occupied with the upgrades that keep coming in my direction lol. I just bought a flex plate so I can upgrade to an auto, still have to pay brodie for the auto, then I still need the rear brake calipers for that rear end with the locker so I can finally put it in. sigh too much to do!
