well just went out and swapped in another alternator i had into my 2dr and after putting it in reconnecting the battery and all i start the truck hmmm the idle didn't come up(cold start) then i looked over at the voltmeter OOOOOH MAN it was pegged all the way over must have been over 20V cause it was way past the 16V marker. I put the old alt back in and have driven it everything is fine but i think those high volts killed the idle speed motor <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" /> I'm pretty pissed but it could have been worse and burn the truck wiring harness or burned the whole truck down.
