Well sunday i was gonna go wheeling and camping overnight with john h and his father inlaw and after meeting up with him we headed over to gas up before starting our trip my power steering was pulsing at low speeds when turn so i was thinking it was the belt i popped the hood with the engine running to take a look to see if it flopping around or could wait till camp that night. Well I wish that was the reason and still might be but there was a bigger problem my crank pulley was wobbling like crazy first thing i was thinking was the bolt was backing out so i told john i was gonna park it and try and tighten it. So after parking and taking a wrench to it no good so to cut it short i slowly drove it home took it apart today and found the crank bolt was fine not even stretched but the crank key broke crank nose looks fine!! So i'll be pulling the engine out and pulling the front of it apart and putting in a new key and i guess i'll fix the front/rear oil seals that are leaking too. toasty/clay which one of you has the lift?

BTW john h finished the trip with 2 broken shocks, also broke a tie rod limped it to the road and towed home.

Well I ended up just leaving the engine in the truck i just didn't feel like pulling it out, I would like to put a new oil seal in the back i'll save that for another weekend. But i've got the front all torn down much easier than I remember. Today i removed the crank timing gear and broken key and installed a new timing tensioner as i found the bearing in my old one was on the way out looks like either way i was gonna be pulling this apart because of something breaking.:8 Tomorrow the new bolt, washer, and key are suppose to arrive at the dealer, I've also gotta pickup a new front oil seal and maybe just maybe it won't leak after i put it on keeping my fingers cross on that one.

Well finished putting it back together sunday and it runs good, front seal still leaks even with the new seal in it looks like i'm in the same boat as you jbfp i'm just gonna put the ol'thick stuff in maybe it will slow down. If it ain't leaking oil its because it ain't running

So you might get out and wheel with us next weekend? You can't let the Gen 2's have all the fun now.

I'll bet he has something to say about it. There's a term for what happens when you work there too long...
