It would seem that my passenger side door won't open from the inside using the regular handle. However, it will open when using the rear handle. I pulled off the door panel and it looks like the rod simply doesn't pull enough. Is there an adjustment?

The rod that attaches to the front handle may have rattled off---------or it is just a little too long to unlatch things in which case you just bend it a little to shorten it up

look, there is a sort of Z in the rod.. you bend it. or you lost the inside of one of those fold over snap down rod clips.

Mine does the same thing some times, if you push on the door panel it works fine.
The main problem is, the rod is flexing and not pulling the latch. Take the panel off and bend the rod, thus making it shorter, it will fix your problems.
