Welcome to the wire. Its good to see more people finding their way here, how did you hear about this site?

Good luck with your SR. As far as motors, you'll spend a good chunk so might as well spend it modifiying it to swap in another one, if you are familar with that kind of stuff. Not sure what would be the "perfect" swap, but i know a few will chime in soon and tell ya.

My dream would be to swap in a V8, but who knows. Only time will tell. See ya around

Angelo,

Why would you say that? About the only real issue IIRC is the butterfly valves which can seemingly be removed w/out too much impact.

Anyhow to the OP, welcome to the 'wire.

Looking forward to seeing more posts from you soon.

Ray

thanks for the welcomes guys. I am finding that this 95 montero may not have been quite as good of a deal as I thought. I thought I would be able to find a used engine for $500 all day long between salvage yards and individuals with wrecked vehicles. I hope I can find one cheap/or and alternative swap. Anyway, thanks for the welcomes... keep em' coming!
