So...
My great deal on the 3.5 fell through (salvage yard accidently gave it the the core exchange people) so now I still need a motor for the 95 Monty SR. I noticed that it was mentioned that a 3.5 SOHC could be made to work with the water plumbing and oil sump from a 3.5 sohc montero. Well here is what I am wondering??? I have a line on a 3.5 SOHC from a 99 Diamiante, but I need to know exactly what I will need for a painfree swap (don't want to spend weeks chasing problems/gremlins. So here we go...

1. Is this a fairly easy swap?
2. What parts will I need? This means every single thing that I will need for the swap to plug in and work like it should. (ecm, external parts etc...)
3. Anything I need to know before hand?
4. Has anyone else done this swap?

Sorry for all the questions, but these dohc montero 3.5's are hard to find for a reasonable price, and I refuse to spend 1,500.00 plus for a motor for a 13 year old vehicle. Thanks in advance for all your help and replies, I really appreciate it. Man I can't wait to get this thing going... Cole
