Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
I have a 04 2.7 Tacoma it hase been 25 degrese or under for about 3 weeks.the last 2 mournings I start the truck it has a knocking sound on the passinger side 4just 2seconds.any suggestions what the noise is?

Might be your oil pump cavitating. What weight oil are you currently using? I run 5W30 up here in the winter. That first few seconds on startup is due to that nice molasses in your oil pan.
One possibility enyhoo.

I use 5-30 it only made the noise for 2mornings now it`s warmed up alittle. changed the oil 500 miles ago. does the oil filter have a bypass valve? it`s a Toyota filter.
