Hi,everyone. New here and these will be my first questions. I have a worn out Driver's Seat and found a replacement I'm holding ready to install. I just had the Engine replaced, Transmission replaced, Cat.'s renewed, and O2 Sensors replaced with OEM's. After work was completed the Check Engine Light came on, and the mechanic said code was showing a bank2 lean but number readings from bank1-2 were o.k numbers and the PCM could be going bad if the light comes on again. I understand in disconnecting the Driver's seat I need to disconnect the battery first and NOT turn the key in the on position. I read this is to ensure no damage to the PCM, and especially not to get the Airbag Indicator Light On. My fears of doing the Driver Seat swap are: All the work done recently will throw off performance, the check engine light will reappear, and more importantly I'll be stuck with a Airbag Indicator Light turning on. (1)Are these fears valid and what would be the proper approach? Other minor issues with the vehicle are: Power Mirror switch is not working. I just came across a hard spare tire cover, from the old vinyl type and the rear window windshield wiper is getting stuck when it moves to the passenger side, if I press on the plastic tire mold case closes to the wiper blade it operates like normal. (2)What could cause this to be rubbing? (3)Was there a bigger spare in it's place before stretching the molding? (4)How do I get the power mirrors working again? This vehicle has had a lot of expense put in it, not an intentional rebuild but no going back now. Heard good things from a fellow Trooper owner, so pick'd up the Acura Slx Clone and has been a mechanical nightmare. It drives well now, and I enjoy many aspects of this vehicle: roominess, giant sunroof, hatch door that swings to the side not above head (ouch), 4x4, and built like a tank. Your forum gives hope that these vehicles are fun to drive, reliable and most of the mechanics I've come across saying there nothing but a POS are wrong. The problems on these vehicles can be solved, they just need the right tender loving touch. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />
