I don't know what you have planned, or what the shipping would be(even if it's possible) but I have this from a 95 SR with no rust on the frame to speak of... quite a sad sight. It was cut before and after the major components needed for the rear axle swap. I haven't started taking the components off of the frame yet but I do know the frame has no rust and it's from an SR that only had 78K miles on it when it rolled last year and went to a wrecking yard up here in Hamilton, Ontario. Lemme know what you think. dT

PM sent. Looks like the frame in that pic has been cut right where I need to replace the rear section on mine.

Sadly the rest of that frame has gone to the crusher. Thanks for calling the yard up there fhuzz
I am currently talking to the yard in Kings Mt NC about the frame on the SR they have there. This is the same truck that Sparky got his GenII locker from I'll let you know what happens

I looked on carpart.com for a '95 SR rear axle assembly and see that there is a truck in Benson and one in Zebulon - both near you. You might want to give those yards a call.

Any updates on your frame? I picked up a stick welder a week ago and need something to practice on.

Any updates on your frame? I picked up a stick welder a week ago and need something to practice on. It's on my list. I found a frame not far from here. The yard wouldn't let me cut off the section I wanted myself, but said they would do it for $150 (another place wanted $300 ). Then last week I was in the local LKQ looking for a Miata relay and found a '94 Montero LS with a nice looking frame. They said I could cut the frame off myself. They only want $75 and will throw the gas tank in for free if I remove the fuel pump I'm going to try and get there this weekend. If not I'll have to take a vacation day to get this done. Enjoy your stick welder. ChrisJ is right, your not coming near my truck with it I will update soon with some progress...

A product I have had excellent results with is OSPHO. About $25/ gal and it goes a long way compared to POR 15. You should coat it after, either paint or oil. I try to use 90 weight cause it works longer than oil even after thinning with diesel (but it'll stink for a week). A quart of Ospho will do it with 1/2 left over. Remember to insert a tight fitting tube inside the frame at least a foot long before you weld, maybe even a few plug welds at each end of the splice fittings. Hope this helps you.
