Getting the Wheeling Fever
I hate to say it but I am thinking about getting rid of my truck. I love it but I never drive it. I have put 500 miles on it in the past year for a total of 49K. It is garage kept since new and babied, never off roaded. It is dark blue, not a scratch or speck of rust ever. Gray interior is perfect and has seat covers on the bucket seats and husky mats on the floor so even the carpet is perfect. Never had a cigarette smoked in it either. It is bone stock except for Bilstiens, new Michelin LTX radials, receiver hitch, Line-Xed bed and color matched shell by Innovation. No maintenance except new air filters and synthetic oil every 3000 miles. Blue book says $9800 but I think a smart Toyota guy would pay way more than that. Any opinions?

Depends on the market and how well you sell it. I've seen T100s go as high as $14k just last week...not sure if they sold or not...

You can test the market and see...if you feel the money is good enough to satisfy you...then you'll sell. If not, you'll have the garage space fer yer truck.

A smart buyer wouldn't pay anymore than they had to.

IF that's an xcab, we have a guy here looking for one.

It is an XCab. The dilemna is that even if I got 15K for it, which is unlikely, you can barely get a used Tacoma for that. So I would be trading a great mid size truck for an unknown small truck. I do occasionally need a truck.

The price will be whatever the market will bare! Supply and demand determine pricing so save the shame for some of the other shams presented on this site (e.g. Jet, Helix, etc.). If this truck is exactly as defined, it should bring a premium particularly if his 97 ECU is supercharger compatible. The supply of these trucks in good condition is fairly limited.
Sorry to seem snippy but I don't want him to be short-changed because of the opinion of one person even if they are a moderator. Brew

I've seen low mile, clean T100's on eBay over the last year or two, starting at $14K. Don't know if they sold for that but I would start it at $12K.

You just don't see many T100's for sale with under 100K miles anymore. Book value has little to do with determining a truck like this' value. They are in demand and tough to source. Selling price should be at a premium.

I paid 7k for mine with 50k on a new block and 175k on the body in pretty pristine shape. Then I took it offroad and it has permanent pinstriping and a snorkle...

On the other side of the story, I bought a loaded 93 SR5 auto with 20 inch Ions and 190 mph tires ( why) 4x4, absolutely no rust, and 148K on it 14 months ago for 3500 - eBay auction. No way would I pay 3 to 5 times as much for a 4 year newer truck, especially in NY where emissions testing is a must for 96's and newer...........Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Doesn't matter whether I'm moderating or not. A buyer is ALWAYS out for a good deal. On the other end, a SELLER names their price, it's not necessarily the buyer's to HAVE. I'm amazed constantly at how folks get honked off if they can't buy what they think they're entitled to, when it's still the seller's. Go figger.

And I know there's a buncha tightwads here!

FWIW, the old Toys hold their value here, simply because they're something that'll get you from point A to B at -50F.

The seller will get what he wants, as long as it's not to a dealership.

Brian, I was hopin' you'd see this!
