Need a Spot
hi
I had taken my 96' 3.2 rodeo to get a smog test, but it failed . Several trouble codes had come up like: p0137
p0143 p1171 p1406
Does anybody know what these mean and how much they cost to fix?
thanks

1037 & 0143 - Fuel Air Metering
1170 - Manufacture control fuel air metering
1406 - EGR

It sounds like a stuck/clogged EGR, or it simply could need to be replaced. I have never needed to repair/replace mine but it doesn't appear to be difficult to replace, or all that expensive ($100-200). You are also able to clean the EGR but agian I've never done this.

I'm sure someone that has worked on an EGR will chime in.

Roll Me Over
Sometimes the oil from the K&N will get on the MAF sensor (if yours has one, can't tell what year yours is) and mess it up. Worth a try to spray it with some carb cleaner...

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Steve is right. K&N's if over oiled can cause issues.

Good Luck!
