'94 22re extra cab 4x4 5-speed and several engine and engine related mods. 235 tires, stock gears. I've been getting 18 since the build-up, 19-20 before that. I'll be installing a hydrogen fuel cell before too long, so that should boost it by quite a bit.

Fuel cell? You don't mean one of those dumb little boxes that run off of the alternator do you?

On topic though, in my 86 4runner, 22re with 191k, 235's all compleatly stock I got highway of 26 , including a mountain pass. Granted, after the pass the road slowly descends about 1500 feet over about 100 miles, but I also had the hubs locked for 20 of those miles (in 2wd). Not sure about in town though. Also, I had just done an oil change, running full synthetic, though I usually get about 23-26 no matter what.

In my truck that I used to have (also and 86, sr5, 140k, stock 22re with 30's) I would get roughly 17 in town, and 26 highway consistantly.

I'm going to be adding 31's on aluminum wheels soon to the 4runner, I'll report what the mileage change is.

86 4runner, pro comp AAL, Kayline Soft top, 31's but all stock
