I finally added my air/fuel gauge this evening and boy, does that thing run lean. It's bouncing between off scale lean to halfway up the ideal area during off throttle and just under full; at WOT, it sits steady at the end of the ideal range. My Subaru ran between lean and just into the rich area for it's range and about halfway into the rich at full throttle. Interesting, that is.
However, I seem to have acquired a hesitation now. Haven't gotten the fuel pump out yet - ran out of time. I did manage to get the MAF cleaned and also the contacts, so maybe that was it. We'll see.
A side note, I've been having tranny troulbes when cold where 1st and 2nd are very stubburn, I changed the fluid and that stuff was grey and very thin. So, I don't know what that tranny shop put in there, but it wasn't good. I put Mobil 1 in there and I'll see how it shifts in the morning. Suby loves that stuff in her tranny - lets me slam second in low range at red line and hang the tail out. WEEEEEE!!! Do YOU Subaru?
