I ran 30 9.50's on zook spoke rims that were only 5.5" wide. It seemed to work ok but the centers wore faster. My spare tire is a 31 10.50 on the same rim and it looks funny but will work.
If you go with Ford Bronco rally rims (like what is on my car now) you will be outside the wheel well and things rub until you beat it back with a small sledge.
I have been to a few tire shops and they don't recommend the 30 9.50's on the stock rim because they say the sidewall isn't "square" enough. Funny thing is though, <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> they really want to sell you some aftermarket rims they have <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />!!!
Go figure <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
Just remember, if you get other rims, check and make sure that the center hole is big enough. Had to have the Bronco's machined.
