Dennis I have ordered 30mm longer then stock 1996 Rav4 rear shocks, as in they are 30mm longer then stock rav4 shocks not 30mm longer then stock sportage shocks. Should these be OK?
On the locker, I am not going to get too excited until it actually fits as its been a long drawn out process and I won't be happy till my mechanic rings me and says that it all worked! Will keep you all informed.

Others have used the Rav4 shocks with good results so they should be fine.
Do keep us posted on the locker. Dennis

Well can you give us any contact information on how we can contact this company that sold you your locker?
Also, is this an auto locker or a selectable locker?
Some of us in the USA would KILL someone... in front of their own mother.. for a selectable locker

Well it is an auto locker, so no it's not selectable. But I ahve one similar in my street car and they aren't too bad. They do unlock when turning but not as well as an LSD does. In a straight line they are unbeatable and I think off road it's going to be awesome. But like I said, not getting my hopes up till it actually fits. There is an email address that I liase with them on if you want to send them an email. See if they have a US distributer. It's autodeco@gmail.comThis site explains how they work, it's not the place that I bought mine off but they work almost identically. http://www.4wdsystems.com.au/html/lokka.htmDennis, thanks for all your help. I appreciate it. Thanks Damo

I know its not a for sure thing yet, but just out of curiosity, What is the cost of the locker? I am betting if it ends up working we can get a group buy going.

Well it is around $1200AU. Which is a lot really, but considering it is the only one I can get I didn't really mind paying a bit extra. If anyone wants some pics of it, send me an email to my home address. Or add me on msn. Home email - damencole@dodo.com.auMSN - cammedvs@icqmail.comDamo

well I am sure there are a few guys with deep pockets on here, but wow, $1100 US dollars for an auto locker? I understand there is R&D and the low demand, but wow, thats about $800 more than an auto locker for most other vehicles!
Its cool that you are on a mission to get that done, but at $1100 , the amount of buyers would be pretty low I would imagine. just a guess.
hopefully someday the price will come down..........

Yeah it is dear, but it's the only one in existence I know of, so yeah you have to expect to pay the price, adn considering the amount of money I have spent on my other vehicles it's a drop in the ocean. Hopefully will be worth it. Still cheaper then the cost of air lockers for the more common vehicles over here...
