For those of you wanting or needing to switch to the manual locking hubs don't be scared.
I have a 99 that had the vacuum activated hubs. In the matter of 10 minutes I was able to get my tools and have them swapped over.
The instructions were to skip straight to step 10. Step 10 in just installing the hubs. Obviously you have to uninstall the old ones.
Ok so step 1 pop hub caps off step 2 remove the 6 bolts holding the hubs on step 3 pull old hubs off step 4 slide new hubs on and align the 6 holes step 5 install the 6 bolts torque to 25lbs or at least close step 6 pop hood step 7 unplug the white plug in front of master cylinder attached to vacuum canister.
step 8 Have fun your done.
Its literally that easy. so dont be afraid to do the swap.
