Yeah, that's what I meant, pre-94 Ford F250, 350, etc with the 7.3 diesel. I'm sure there are lots that can be adapted, I just thought that was what I would use if I needed to put another housing on as I am pretty familiar with Fords too.

I can't picture what a filter setup off a Rabbit looks like. I should know as I had one....still have the engine. It should work though. Any diesel fuel filter with an integrated water seperator that you can plumb in will work. It's just a matter of one that will be easy to mount, but there is plenty of room to work with on these Isuzu's.

I wonder if you could repair your old one? I've never had mine apart, but I'd assume it's just a few o-rings inside.

Sealing off the top would work also. It started sucking air around the tach drive, like a speedo cable drive, and a short piece of heater hose, a pipe plug and a few hose clamps fixed that.
