Well that wasn't a secret you know. But regardless it is sold and indeed sells pretty well event comparing to likes of Toyota. Got couple awards I believe

Thanks for teasing us. I'm surprised Mitsu still hasnt figured out that engine noise problem. As nice as the new one looks, you think they would have fixed that lil problem. Everything else looks beautiful, nice work on the Pajero

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Has anyone heard any encouraging news that Mitsubishi might return the Montero to the U.S? Maybe if they changed the name to something really aggressive and billed it as a large crossover it would sell here again

Maybe as they did after 30 years with the Lancer? Maybe try a controversial name like Pajero. That should stir things up. They have used Shogun in England as well as elsewhere. But the real problem might be in the first name, not the second.

95 Montero SR 3.8 DOHC Only one?

Then a Gen2 SR with full coil independent suspension.

You know we have a growing Latin population here in my area and they don't seem to mind seeing the Pajero spare cover that I have on my truck. I even asked a Mexican guy that I have met in our store and he said that it's understood about the differences that sometimes pop up in our languages by most of his countrymen. Guess that is one guy's take on it. But "Outlander" would have been awesome to describe our trucks, Hell, even "Endeavor". Doesn't fit the "vans" that carry them.

I think the "Endeavor" model had everything. I was supposed to be a "limited" model. Winter package, Infinity sound system and amongest other things too.

I hope to see the Montero back here in the states some day. Not sure if they should keep the Montero name to change it up. People might think its something brand new and wont compare it to the Montero

One thing I do not really understand with Mitsu's choice of names, is that it is a Pajero in a number of Spanish speaking countries not a Montero. It is pronounced with a silent J.

by the way, I am in iraq right now, but when i was in kuwait and even here, there are tons of pajeros a lot with factory jerry can holders on the rear door. those new ones sure are nice, in kuwait the army uses them as POVs for running through the sands from spot to spot, there are literally hundreds of pajeros just on one base. very cool, but i haven't quite figured out how to fit one in my pocket and bring it home with me yet. anyway, just wanted to let you know that the us army uses tons of them down in kuwait.
