Yep, it's pretty easy to install incorrectly. In fact, I didn't adjust it right when I reinstalled it after fixing my shifter a couple of weeks ago and now I have to apply slight backward pressure in park to start it. Download MontyMcV's 89 engine/chassis/body FSM from www.mitsubishilinks.com. Should be the same as your 91. Test the switch according to the chart on page 21-93 of the auto-tranny section. Adjust per procedure on 21-94.
