Remember a swaybar (anti-roll bar) will not help in a straight line. No sway-bars WILL make a difference when cornering or braking and cornering, especially in an emergency. There can be no doubt. That doesn't mean it's dangerous to take them off, just less safe, if you can see the difference.

Let's face it, you can be in far more dangerous situations on the road than driving a Montero with no sway-bars. I drive a Miata on the interstate everyday. I rode a bicycle to work and back from 1988-2002! Seen what I mean?
