Roomie had asked for an extension for her ankle, as there was still snow on the ground. This was after 5 months of nothing coming in on her part.

Freddies here just did something rather novel; they now have a parking spot next to handicapped- 'reserved for customers with small children'. Don't see anyone abusing it- lots of folks with little guys putting it to good use. VERY high traffic area. Anyone else see those?

They give them out to easy. Imagine how pissed the really handicapped are when they pull up and some jackass with a limp just parked in the spot

That's why there are so many HC parking spots...to account for a percentage of jackasses.

just up the street from where I live there is a "Brace and Limb" medical supply place, think I'll go see how many handicapped places they have.

Body Damage is Cool
I agree that this has become a problem...kinda like the people on wellfare that drive $50K SUVs....my wife is a teacher and she says that she has some kids that "can't afford breakfast in the morning"...yet they got Wii's for Christmas.

I see "handicap" people get out of their cars all the time, and appear to have nothing wrong with them...no limp, nothing. Maybe they should start fineing the doctors who give out false handicap tags as well as the "handicaps."

I couldn't agree with Stony more....people are absolute @sshats!!!!!!!!!

I remember when I worked at the store...folks would come in and buy 1 piece of Brach's candy for 2 cents with a food stamp...they'd do it a couple times, then buy booze or smokes with the change.

I thought they started giving people on food stamps some kind of gift card? Something like the visa gift card. That way they don't get change.

Last time I ran a register at that store was about 1995, prior to the EBT cards.
