It's a pretty involved job to change head gaskets, but can be done if you have patience and follow directions. Timing belt will be coming off so might as well do that at the same time.

Send the heads to a machine shop to have them checked for cracks and have them decked and machined if needed. Replace the head bolts too. They are one time use. And clean out the head bolt holes THOROUGHLY. And then dry them out using brake cleaner that evaporates. You don't want any liquid in the holes that will mess up your torque values.
