The 2nd gen seats should bolt right in, you might have to enlarge the hole on the seat mounts, but other than that it shouldn't be a problem. The only thing that would be an issue(for the new owner) is that the passenger seat on 2nd Runner(4dr model), isn't designed to slide as far forward as the 1st gen seats were.

My recaros were like that (both left and right bracket for the 4rnr are identical, so I had to drill a new rear hole). I'd have to just slide the front passenger seat forward to access the rear.

You should order some CRV brackets for your Recarro seats, then mount the current Recarro bracket to the CRV seats, this would be the easiest way to do the swap.

Did that yesterday. 2-3 weeks since they're made to order. Apparently, I'm the first person to order recaro brackets for a CRV, according to the guy at on-track performance. Prices of the recaros have really rocketed. I got mine for $300 each, new, back in '02. Now, the cheapest ones are $675.
