Need a Spot

Hey fellas. Wanted to get some information on a little problem. Ive got a 92 4wd pickup, SR5, 4wd, 3.0. My engine idles a little fast, about 1500 rpm, but the thing is that when Im going down the road and let off the gas, if I just slightly bump the gas pedal, it will fall to about a 1000. If I just let off it will idle at 1400-1500. Seems like the linkage is hanging up somewhere but Im really not sure. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks
