Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
My windshield is coming apart on me and will probably need a replacement within the next few days. I remember some discussion taking place on this forum a while back that Montero windshields are not compatable with the Pajero? Just wondering what happened with that and if anyone has looked into the issue anymore and what they have found out about getting these windshields replaced when they inevitably need to be. Much appreciated.

A montero windshield should fit if you get the seal for it aswell...the JDM ones are designed to pop out so if it is possible to get the windshield seal then I don't see why it wouldn't fit...I cannot see them building the truck different between JDM/USDM

Let us know where you get your window replaced and how much it costs. I will need to change mine by summer. It is getting abused by deerfoot trail.

Just for information purposes: are there window glass shops that will custom cut windshields based on computer patterns or measurements of the current one?
Many thanks

Windshields are molded and laminated - not cut per se. I'd have to say no to your question - at least for a curved windshield. You can probably get a straight one cut, such as for a Jeep YJ/CJ.

A one off window would be crazy expensive.

It is great that a replacement was found. If we could get a part # that would be great. Was there one one your receipt for your window?

I was going to pick up a used gasket but couldn't get around to it.
If it's insured, they'll have to replace it.
I know William at JDM was bringing some in last year.

So was the windshield sourced through JDM connection or did a local glass company supply the glass for this pajero?
