Oh what the heck - another thread. I found some archived info on JKS and RE disconnects (my next project) but my quick research shows that the REII disconnects are not for a JK? and that seems to leave JKS. My limited access to comments/reviews seems to rule out other makes. So, I am again open for opinions? I hear claims that the JK has a significant increase in articulation over some previous models, but enough? Does that pretty much rule out the REII units - BTW, no lift on my JK ride. What say the collective experience here? Richard

Skyjacker also makes some disconnect links. A guy I know, and have wheeled with has a 4 door JK with a 4" Skyjacker lift. The lift kit came with disconnects, but he has a Rubi, so he does not need to disconnect the links by hand.
With the swaybar disconnected, the front end dropped about 2 extra inches over having them connected.

My JKS's have worked fine for me. Easy to get off/on as long as you remeber to do it on level pavement before hitting the trail. FYI - my stock links didn't last very long off-roading. Made very nasty noises for a while...then it was quiet...but I had a lot more articulation all of a sudden.

The link to the quick disconnects is: http://www.jksmfg.com/support/install_qrd_pn2030_2034.pdfDo or will I need to change the length of the brake lines for my JK, no lift? Might be good to know ahead of time and also, you say only about 2 inches more articulation? Might not be worth it considering my easy to mild wheeling activity. about 2 at each wheel. That means that if the driver side goes down an extra 2 inches the passenger side also has the ability to go up 2 more inches...totaling 4 inches overall.

Jack up the front of your vehicle so the axle sits at full droop (with the swaybar disconnected), and look to see if the lines are being stretched at all. Have someone slowly turn the steering wheel as well, to see if that causes any binding or stretching.
If it is not lifted I would imagine that it should not be an issue.
