Well you have to ask yourself how much are you willing to spend! Pulling the engine to change rings or valves now, is going to cost you the same as if you were to do it a few years from now, youre looking at about $2000 to $3000 USD.

Now ask yourself is the car worth that?

Unless you are blowing smoke, losing oil and have a noticeable loss in power while driving or other issues, pulling an engine because of a slightly low compression test may not be worth while.

You mentioned you did a cold and dry compression test, did you do a wet one? ie: put a few squirts of engine oil in the piston chamber before the test to help seal the rings, like they would if the engine was running! And you will get some blue smoke after you do a wet test, so don't panic. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />
