I'm interested in a Tacoma crew cab as a possible replacement for my T-100. I've got a collection of children I need to haul around from time to time (they just don't want to stay at home all the time!) and one of the shortcomings of my T-100 that will become an even bigger problem in the near future is the comfort and seat belts in the back seat. Right now, my back seat rug rats sit in a booster and a car seat - the lap belt in the center position works fine with the car seat but won't with a booster.
My question - What year did the crew cab start having a shoulder belt in the middle rear seat?

To the best of my knowledge, a *shoulder* belt was never offered for the middle position in a Double Cab rear seat during the first DC generation (2001 - 2004).
The lower Child Restraint anchors were added for the two outboard seat positions with the introduction of the 2003 model year.
Hope this helps ...
Of _course_ I know the difference... I don't want you to kiss a hole in the ground.

I've got a 2003 Double Cab, and the middle rear seat just has a lap belt. The other rear seats have shoulder belts.
1980 Hilux 4x4 stock for now... 2003 Tacoma Doublecab 4x4 2 inch lift, 32" BFG All Terrains, NO CHROME!
