I read a post that stated that the 95 Montero SR had uses OBD2. Can anyone comfrim this?

Actually I think on mitsu's OBDII compliance started in 96.

Yes, the 95 and 96 ECU is the same part #. Although I have not had luck in getting my freeware scanner to work though.

93 Pajero 3 door 6G75 Mivec with paddle shifted 5 speed
Then a Gen2 SR with full coil independent suspension.

Thanks for the replies. If the ECU is the same as a 96, then shouldn't I be able to read the error code with a OBDII scanner? And where is the plug located?

The 95 is not OBDll complaint. Look at your underhood sticker.

OBD II was not required in 95 therefore no sticker would be applied. The diagnostics scan the same for 95 and 96.

I found the obd2 plug down by the foot rest. I just haven't had the time to get a scanner. Maybe I'll take it to AutoZone tonight, let them try to scan it. The check engine light has been coming on lately. We don't drive the montero much any more, I think its getting lonly. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
