Even with chromo shafts and u-joints, 1/2 ton axles aren't going to live between tires that size and a V8. Not to mention the stress those front ball joints are going to see <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> Kingpin D60 is your friend. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

i have been working on it every night sence i started. i have not been taking photos but some one else has. they will be posted on chucks trucks in teh showing off section.

i got the front and rear in mounted and it is freaking huge.

for the front i used 4" chevy truck lift springs and in the rear i took apart a stock set of chevy truck springs and inter stacked them with teh trooper springs and added a 4" block.
it has a set of bald 38 super swampers on it now but it is getting some 39.5 boggers then it will be evern bigger!

i also have instales a body lift i used some used 3" lift blocks that were laying around and got some longer bolts from NAPA.

i cut the window frames out of the rear doors and poped the rear cab side windows out.

been digging around looking for details and finaly found my user name for this sight so i can search easyer now.

well i ditched the half tons . now i have 8 lug 3/4 tons
14 semi floater with locker and a open 30 spline 10 bolt both with 4;56 gears.the rear is going to be converted to disc, got the calipers just digging around for some take off rotors now.

reading back now at my first post, i see i was dreaming. this thing is costing me a prety fair amount of money to do.
i got caried away on the engine and transmission big time.
but this thing is awsome.

got the two front tires 39.5 swampers on 15x14 wheels

i have now 2 1350 front CV shafts out of a superduty ford for running gear got the 1350 yoke on the front 10 bolt now and rear had one. still need 2 high angle centering yokes for the transfer case outputs but i got it all figured out.

been slowy scrounging up parts and building stuff cutting and grinding and welding every weeken sence i first got the thing

just letting you all know ,I'm mooving right allong and she is turing out to be one bad mofo.

i am just as motivated as day one.and still wasting as much money as i can aford to every week on this POS. and it'l be running sooner or later.i only F with it on the weekend and i anit made out of money but we a cruising along fine.

no pics yet i have not even got a before picture, i'll get a few up on here sometime though.

it's a shiny black 2 door with red pin stripes and it is freaking tall!

it's up there on bald 38 roll arounds, with good 39.5's it's a monster. the biggest one i seen ever on the web.

down here in florida we aint got not rocks, we have mud so you build them huge and axles hold up pretty good in mud. most the trucks run axle tire combos they say would never work on the internet do prety good in the swamp.

so why stop with the axles? 10/14-semi isn't going to hold up to a V8 and 39.5's. even if you're not going to shell out for a front D60, at least ditch that 14-semi for a 14bff before you start sinking money/work into. 14bff's are a dime a dozen... why use the semi?



while I can sorta see what you're saying... its only going to take one good hook up while you're spinning those tires in the mud to send parts exploding.

i got it all for basicly nothing with 4;56 gears instaled. new brakes and bearing in the front.

down the road i will upgrade all of this stuff ,but rite now i got to get this truck built.

this truck is just for driving around in the swamp and at mud bogs. showing off and drinking beer.

this stuff can hold up pretty good and parts are abundant


i'll get it all one piece at a time.

had to take a break for a while,i ran out of money, but im back into it again,got a bunch of parts comming from ebay for it,could be running in a few months

and she is sitting on 39.5 boggers in the back and 39.5 swampers in the front now. and got some rear disc brakes instaled on it
