Getting the Wheeling Fever
I just have a stick on oil pan heater pad on there at present but I was browsing through the ailse at Canadian Tire and saw that they carry inline coolant heaters that atach to your lower radiator hose. Has anyone put one of these on their pajero yet? If so which one did you use (part #) ie: What is the width of our radiator hoses and where did you fit it? Doesn't look like there is a whole lot of room for anything down there. Thanks.

It can be done. I believe it is a 1 1/4" hose. The inline heater on the lower rad hose is a waste of time in my opinion. Go for the block heater, way better. If you lived in Calgary I would give you the one I have, as it was of very little use.

There is another style of heater. The recirculating style that you plumb into the heater lines. It has a little pump that heats the coolant and circulates it through the block.

its made by wabasto and the only place I know of is called Fort Gary Industries that carries them. I know some truck (18 wheelers) dealerships carry them, but you are paying a lot more then through an industrial truck supplier.
Fort Gary Industries I've bought a lot of stuff from these guys when I was a trucker, they are a good company, and the service department guys aren't a bunch of clueless chairwarmers. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

They were cheaper at Bumper to Bumper when I shopped around.

I went with the block heater though. Still have to install my oil pan heater. I've also been considering a fuel filter warmer.

Fuel heating is popular with the bio-diesel/veg oil burners. I was thinking of using a small oil pan heater. Not sure where to find one retail.

Here are some in-line fuel heaters: http://www.maesco.com/products/racor/r_dfh_intro/r_dfh_intro.html
