Getting the Wheeling Fever
Recently had the 5 spd manual transmission(KM-145) rebuilt on my 87 Gen1 SWB. 5th gear finally broke after 342K miles, guess I got my money worth. Now on to the question/problem. The shop has misplaced the anti-roll mount on the driver's side of the transmission. The one thats bolts from the frame to the side of the case. Anyone out there have any opinions on if it necessary or not.
Everything quite and slick as a whistle and would like to keep it that way since 5spd internal parts maybe getting had to come by in the future. Also if the consensus is that its necessary anybody got one they want to part with.

If it was not for the information on this forum,I could never have made it this long with my SWB.
Thanks in advance
cirrus

And the shop's not going to replace it because...?

Yes, I would suggest that mount be installed.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I got a good enough deal to cover the cost of finding a mount.
The problem I'm starting to run into is no one wanting to work on it anymore due to its age and parts availability. Not a lot of shops to pick from and even whole lot less when it comes to competent shops. Guess loosing the mount doesn't inspire visions of competency but they really are good at what they do.
Thanks for the info.
