Remember you are the wronged party, and their client is the one that wronged you, they should just be happy that you weren't hit, or they would be on the hook for a lot more money.

With Ins. Adjusters you have to be willing to be ruthless, don't be nice, their only purpose is to save their comnpany as much money as they can. That is why they are willing to give you a check and total your truck, so they can actually save money over the repair costs.

If you don't get anywhere, call an attorney, the consultation should be free(don't go to one that isn't). Who knows you might have some soft tissue damage from having to "Ninja" move out of the way, or some traumatic stress from nearly being killed that is just now manifesting itself. I am not saying lie about it, but just the hint of possibility to an adjuster and you will see them right a check almost instantly.
