Black ice. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I hit the guardrail twice, once with the right rear, followed by a head on. No injuries except to my Sportage, guardrail made out just fine. It did save me from going over a 50 foot embankment backwards though. Looks like I can get a used bumper cover locally for $100 plus paint. Not sure what I want to do with the front yet. 2001 Sportage, TJ 106's, Everet spacers and bumpstops, Bilstein shocks on the rear, cone filter, Crager wheels, 235-75-15 Goodyear tires. Custom front winch bumper by Dave Scott. Currently DOA, but it is a work in progress.

I ended up getting an estimate $1571, so I called the insurance company. Now all I need to do is figure out how to get insurance to buy Dave's bumper instead of a new stock bumper.

not sure the wife would agree, but look at it this way, if I get it fixed then I'll have more parts to damage in the future
