89 ext 4x4 pickup 22re w56 140k
My w56 transmission started making some rattling noises on occassion, definately coming from inside the transmission housing. Oil level is full. Came across a pretty good deal for a transmission out of a 93 4x4 v6 model toyota pickup. Initially transmission looks pretty much the same except for the transfer case and cover underneath the shifter has 4 bolts to the transmission as opposed to a 6 bolt cover plate under the shifter of my w56. Is it possible to make this swap? Can i bolt up my gear driven transfer case to the v6 (r150 i think) tranny?

Would likely require an R151 bellhousing (22RE turbo tranny) and an adapter plate for the t-case.
