have a 99 V6, put 40,000 on it so far. Have the oil consumption problem (Just keep your eye on the oil level) , the fuel gauge problem. it don't work half the time, but you can fix it with a new sending unit. Also had a starting problem shortly after we bought it. It would start, but you had to crank on it for a while. Found out it was a sensor from one of the sites. Don't remember which one. But when I replaced it, it started right up. I cranked the torsion bars up and now I have a Half shaft problem, but thats my falt. Not the amigos. I love the truck. lots of fun in the warm months.
