The muffler is in the factory locatin. The funny thing is, When I built the exhaust, I did everything but the tail pipe behind the muffler simpily because I didn't have a mandrel bender. Before the tail pipe it was really loud but deep and rumbly. I took it to a muffler shop to install the tail pipe. Well when he started it up, at idle, it quieted down signifigantly. But the first romp of the gas served a big-o-bowl of Rice! Found one I like. I put on a Dynomax SuperTurbo. Sounds great. Just a little rumble on acceleration and almost noiseless on the hwy.
