Need a Spot
Can I put Wheels from a 2007 Jeep Wrangler on my 98 sportage?I have a chance to make a good buy on wheels and tires with only 200 miles on them but they are 225/75/16 with 5x5.5 bolt pattern. If I can what could I expect in terms of power, gas milage and body mods. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

i am pretty sure a 2007 wrangler has a 5x5 inch bolt pattern, not a 5x5 1/2 like you need. however, if i am wrong, those tires should work fine. you should measure them to be totally positive. http://www.mrt-wheels.com/boltpattern.html this site will tell you how. or you could just try bolting it on. i would be absolutely positive that they fit before i bought them.

the new jeeps have a 5x5 NOT 5x5.5 pattern. so they will not bolt up. Besides, the jeeps do not have a hub on the front axle, so you'd need to have the center machined out, thats after you bought the wheel adapters to mate the 5x5 to the 5x5.5 pattern.

too bad, sounds like a good deal!

the jeep wheels that will fit are from the pre 85 jeeps. i doubt you will find any stock wheels laying around. best shot is for the dodge half ton wheels, that way they dont need to be machined out like the fords.

Wheels from Chev. Tracker or clones bolt directly front and rear ...except they are bout 1/2" offset out compared to Kia originals.
