I wouldn't touch that a ten foot pole. I'd rather have a 300K mile 22RE that was rebuilt than a brand new anything from China.

You just don't know what kind of steel, iron, aluminum and other garbage they are using, plus their casting techniques, quality control, etc, etc.

The 22RE was a bulletproof engine for a lot more reasons than just the overall design.

Stay away from japanengines. Junk crap and poor customer service. Stick with Engnbldr and your local machine shop. There are still alot of good Toy 22R cores out there, everyone I have taken to the machine shop cleaned up very nice. When I opened the motors up there was hardy any ridge at the top of the cylinder and everything else looked great. This shows what kind of quality you have for 200,000 + miles.
