I'm always on the lookout for anything priced right. a Gen2 with a 5.7 woudl be nice, but I'm needing some MPG improvement, and a WVO burning 4 cylinder is the ticket.

I've got a best friend with a Donut shop and a garuntee of 20 gallons of filtered wvo a week..... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Rather than gears, I'd run 235/75 -15 street tires on the stock gears. Weight reduction is the order of the day for mpg, so I'd keep the spare and back seat in the garage and carry some fix a flat.

83 mitsu flat bed 2.6l weber, 88 auto tranny, 2" body lift, 4.625 LSD, 235/85-16E mudders (33 x 9.50).

Well, on stock tires it'll be okay, but anything bigger is going to be dog-like. Pretty sure stockers were 235s. You are gonna IC it though, right?

Uhhhhh I guess so? I had not even thought about that yet. Concentrating so hard on getting a drivetrain.

And I though you would put a GM 6.5 in it. That gives you your V8 and Veggie cruiser in one.

Curt Intercoolers are a must for diesels, There is a major torque gain with the lower intake temps. The engines get to smoke level very early with high intake temps which can only be put off with cooling the intake or Propane injection to cool the flame front.

My question is, Your two truck aren't the same hight, why two stepladders the same height?

A Starion cooler will mount up front pretty well. An NPR cooler should fit up there as well.
