Since I have a 1993...I don't know if Toyota made a change fer the newer T100s.
Does yer front seat belt have a ratcheting system built in to it? That is if you pull yer seat belt out all the way, does it ratchet back as it returns?
The reason why I'm asking is I have my son in the front seat (single cab) with his car seat. I tried to secure his car seat thinking the seat belt would have a ratchet system. I found out that it did not. If yers does have a ratchet system, let me know what year yer truck is and I'll git a set from that year T100 so I can keep him safer. Much thanks in advance!

My '95 has it. The kids know exactly how to use it too.

Looks like car-part has a set of blue ones fer $35 each from NC. Guess I'll git that set and have it shipped... Thanks fer the reply!
Guess I'll do the seat belt mod and tighten up the spring. Maybe even wash the belt while I've got it out...

I have a 1998 T100 I bought in 2001. The front left seatbelt never would retract fully, but it would catch when jerked as if in a crash. Both front seat belts bound up and got stuck last year, I could not pull them out nor would they retract. My Toyota dealer replaced them for free.

So how do you remove that gigantic plastic trim panel that covers the seat belt retractor if you have an xtra-cab? My belts don't retract for sh1t and it's getting old slamming them in the door.

It snaps on and off in like 5 places or so. I removed them a few times, and the last time when installing new speakers I forgot a couple screws and left it that way b/c its a pain.

I stopped by the local dealership this morning just for the hell of it and asked about the seat belt warranty. They told me it is free replacement up to 80K miles. My truck only has 50K so my new belts and retractors are on order. Hope they last another 11 years.

My single cab 93 needs to have the step plate remove before the cover panel gets peeled back. Nice that they ran screws into plastic anchors instead of into the rockers directly...
