I replaced the front driveshaft/propellershaft on my wifes truck the slip-joint was frozen ( I bought one front Everet) (it was a cold night to be under the truck) I wish I had a sawzall I would have just cut the shaft in half, the trans mount did not make it easy to get the flange to the TC mount bolts off plus cold fingers not easy, as I said the slip was frozen, I tried over and over almost got it a few things but the lips on the flanges would not let it drop down, a lift would have helped laying on a cold garage floor did not help, so I said I will try my dremel and some cut off wheels, I cut the ears off the flanges the u-joints are pressed in. The slip-joint on the new shaft was downed out and buy this time my hands were so cold and tried from working all evening then working on this all night I could not pull them out so I put the shalf up in place and just got the bolts started on each flange and tighted up a little at a time. As all of up know smacking you hands or fingers on metal when working is not fun cold and macking is not fun at all , So let see a lift so I could stand the trans mount not in the was a sawzall and I would have gotten a little more sleep that night , my biggest thing is I have this nerver-tumor stuff I was born with, shooting pains in my hands one thing is the last few years if I am out in the cold both index fingers go numb in the cold. I am going to try and work on fixing up the garage better jack and 4 matching stands, compesser, air tools, maybe a sawzall . well I will stop my rammbling for now .
