I have a cj7 that has a factory dana 44(detroit) in the rear and a dan44(arb) from a scout in the front. I recieved a set of standard thick 4.56 gears to replace the 3.54 gears but have been told they wont work. I am not interested in replacing the lockers. does anyone know how much difference there is in the thick and standard cut gears? and has anyone ever used a ringgear spacer in these applications?
