That video reeks of "corporate propaganda".You would think that K+N would have offered an alternate theory as to why the sensors failed.K+N and other aftermarket companies offer filters that promise increased airflow and that claim is true.In order to increase airflow you must increase the size of the particles that you are allowing to pass through the filter material.I have been repairing commercial landscaping and construction equipment for 25 years and have tested many filtering systems(foam,oiled cotton and synthetic materials and paper)and under extreme conditions paper filters have proven to be the best.I have seen firsthand that dirt pases through these oil treated filters. In these filters mounted verticaly I have also noticed that the oil tends to travel to the bottom of the filter.I would assume that gravity is responsible for that.If minimal increases in performance are tops on your list by all means use K+N filters.If increased life and performance over the longhaul is your objective(most Toyota owners)than stick with OEM style filters.
