Reepersteve I just cut and paste! I am a horrible typer. That is interesting about burnouts and R-11. It's been about 4 years since I got out of the HVAC business and I never used it. Josh

It's cool. Some of the thoughts that went on here, went through my head as well, when I heard of and then saw the stuff. When I saw the post I wanted to see what other people thought. Oh, the product exists and will try to get a pic of it. As far as cleaning the tank I'm thinking of something that will break down sludge, wax, take the water with it as well as contaminated fuel. Maybe something like rubbing or denatured alcohol. Some thing that will break down the stuff inside well enough to poor it out, and then the rest would dehydrate and wipe out.

Soap and water, rinse it out real good, then put in some alcohol to dry out the little water that is left.
Should take care of the problem.

I guys I am need to clean my gas tank in my 1989 yj 2.5 singel port fuel . I would like to know what the best thing is to use to flush out the tank , I know that it has mud in it . thanks well after all of the epa & other exotic chemial advice in this forum i would have to say "WHAT???" lol guys its a small fuel tank on a jeep that has some mud in it! drop it & hose it & dry it like Jim said! put it back in & fill it up & if you like the mad scientist approach you can add something like water removing agents to it. might want to check your filter too .

I think these guys are dead on regarding the good ole soap and water.
Drop the tank, flush with water, drain, add 1/2 cup dawn and fill with water again, let stand for 1hr. then rinse. Allow to dry and reinstall.
Never failed me in the past.
Good Luck!
