This is an issue that can and will affect ALL of us. I urge everybody to read and become involved with not only this issue, but all issues regarding the attrition of multi-use areas for our form of recreation!

So, what is more important?

That our fighting men have an adequate place to train so they can defend our country and gain skills which will help promote their survival

or

4 wheeling?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not supporting the land aquisition by default, without knowing exactly why the Marines want the property, but it certainly does present a moral conflict.

More of a conflict than a bunch of enviros wanting to save some weed or bug species, that's for sure.

It's not an easy decision to make, but if there is a public opinion made about the area, perhaps the parties involved can find a solution that suits all involved.

My loyalty will always be to the Corps, but if there are alternatives that haven't been explored due to lack of action by the OHV community, shame on all of us. If there are no options, so be it, I would sell all of my 4WD vehicles to support our security. However, if there is an alternative...

PHX is a hike from Johnson Valley, but one of our playgrounds is adjacent to a military range, I choose to support advising or requesting that an alternative be at least investigated.

Isn't that the same spot the state is fighting with the greenies and the ORVers about a wind farm? Pretty contentious hunka real estate.

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.
