Problem is, there's no nut on the backside. The bolt goes through the bracket into the pump and stops. It's only a small M8x25 (12mm) bolt that's supposed to go in there.

The main 14mm bolt does the same thing, but it's longer and actually threads into the block to secure it. I figure that is the main support bolt, while the other two just keep the pump from rattling around.
